George Ezra is heading to Pickering’s Dalby Forest on Sunday 24th June as part of Forest Live. The Budapest singer-songwriter is set to play a whole host of gigs throughout the coming year, now fans from North Yorkshire can witness his talent first-hand, whilst surrounded by beautiful, woodland scenery. Sounds perfect, right?
With March 23rd marking the release of his second studio album, ‘Staying at Tamara’s’, 2018 is shaping up to be a huge year for the Bristol-based artist. He’s already one of the biggest selling male artists of the decade, with his 2014 debut album ‘Wanted On Voyage’ certified 4x platinum, reaching #1 in the Official UK Chart, and spending 122 weeks in the chart overall.
Influenced by such greats as Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie, his soulful, wizened tone has the ability to take the listener to a parallel land. It’s these traits which ensured Ezra firmly cemented his place on the musical plane. In the space of 18 months he evolved from a virtually unknown artist to one of the international breakthrough artists of all time; and he shows no sign of slowing down.
It’s no surprise then, that Forest Live are thrilled to share this recent line-up announcement. 2018 marks the 18th instalment of the event, which sees 7 fantastic forest locations immersed in an eclectic range of live music.
With the likes of Blondie and Paul Weller taking to the stage over recent years, the event’s reputation precedes itself. If you like your music loud, with an amazing atmosphere and a stunning location, this one’s for you.
